Epoxy Potting Compound 141 – Application Process

Our Epoxy 141 is exceptionally easy to use, making it an ideal choice for both professionals and less experienced users. Its easy mixing and fast curing make the application process convenient and efficient.

Surface Preparation: Before application, the surface must be thoroughly cleaned by removing any mechanical impurities using sandpaper, then degreased with acetone or another suitable agent. For metal surfaces, chemical etching is recommended to improve adhesion.

Mixing the Components: Epoxy 141 consists of two components that must be mixed in a ratio of 100:10 (100 parts by weight of epoxy to 10 parts by weight of hardener). It is important to mix the components thoroughly until a uniform mass is obtained, preferably at room temperature.

Application and Curing: The compound can be cured in two ways:

  • Single-stage: At room temperature, full strength is achieved after 7 days.
  • Two-stage: Initial curing for 12 hours at room temperature, followed by 6 hours at 80°C.

 

The curing process ensures high durability of the bond. It also provides resistance to external factors such as moisture and varying atmospheric conditions.

Usage Warnings
